Our Story

Located in Riverhead, New York, The 47 Pelletreau Barn boasts soaring ceilings, authentic humble construction, and rustic details.

Its origin began over 100 years ago as a working livestock and hay barn with a natural cold storage root cellar for potatoes. The Barn lies right between the Twin Forks of Long Island on the original Zilnicki Farm homestead on Roanoke Avenue.

Over the course of 18 months, family members and local craftsmen worked to repair and restore the structure as well as the the grounds, until completion in Fall 2023. Passion and determination to continue our family’s farming history brought this dream to life.

While this beautiful barn pays tribute to my father and his family, my mother was an integral part of our family which allowed him to be so successful and leave a wonderful legacy. As they raised 7 children together, my dad worked in the fields from sun up to sun down, and my my mom was the heart of our home. My mother grew up in Southampton Village and was very proud of her family heritage as well. In her last days with us she was insistent on the need to go home, to 47 Pelletreau Street! I knew at that moment my heart wanted to pay tribute to her and 47 Pelletreau Flowers and Events was born! We are so very proud to share our experience with others for life’s celebrations, both big and small.

While the crops may have changed, we now have a thriving flower farm that would make our ancestors proud. During the growing season, our field is bursting with heirloom varieties that reflect the culture of the farm. We strive to bring our clients the most beautiful blooms possible, in season from our gardens and locally sourced whenever possible.

Our custom floral designs are included for all events to compliment the barn and bring harmony to your day.
